Lake Texoma Fishing Report :: 9/22

Posted on September 22, 2010

I went fishing this morning and we finally had some wind blowing.  I was hoping to catch fish close to home but I hit every spot on my way out and never caught any fish until I made it out west.  I had fished for an hour and had nothing to show for it then we found them stacked up and all on top.  It was a catch and release trip with a group of 2.  We had probably boated about 30 fish or so before they quit an hour later.  Then they decided to try our luck at some catfishing and we ended up with a nice 12 pounder.  All in all a good day and it seems fishing is picking up.

The weather report is now showing a cold front due to blow in this Saturday bringing lows in the 50's for the first time this year and a chance of rain.  The wind is supposed to stay out of the north through the next weekend with lows in the upper 50's and lower 60's.  This should mean excellent fishing and I'm anticipating some big fish to turn up during all of this.  I have an opening Sunday morning and several more during the week if anyone is interested in some anticipated great fishing.
