Lake Texoma Fishing Report :: Great Day For Big Fish

Posted on November 2, 2010

Nasty, windy, and rainy = some great fishing and that’s just what we had today.  The water temperature is finally down in the 60’s as I was marking 68⁰ surface temperature out on Lake Texoma.  The big stripers were going nuts in the cold wind, we caught 4 around the 8-10 pound range today and a limit of nice fat box fish that we took back to the cleaning table.  The fish were up in shallow water and the birds were going nuts over them.  Most of the fish came off of bait drifting under the birds in 15 ft. of water and less.  We did catch a couple on sassys also.  What a great day to be out on the water.  Fishing is Good!
