Lake Texoma Fishing Report :: Friday April 16th

Posted on April 16, 2010

The fishing is really getting hot here on Texoma. There is no bait to be caught and the fish are hungry and really attacking the shiners and big gizzards we are using for bait. Today the fish are still on shallow but some are moving deeper onto the river ledges in 25-30ft of water. Fishing on anchor was the most productive method of catching as we had our limit in about an hour while throwing back the smaller fish. The bigger fish that I had been catching had moved so after we put our fish in the box we went in search for where they went and finally found a couple drifting big gizzards. The biggest was a male that was squirting milt and probably weighed 8-10 lbs.

My weekends are all booked up but I can’t get any one to take off and go on the week days. I’ll be offering a week day special for the next 2 weeks at $100/person (3 person minimum) which includes a minimum of 4 hours on the water and is good for April 19-22; and the 26-29. The fishing is too good for me to be sitting at home. You can book your trip online at www.stripersinc.com or you can call me anytime at (903)815-1609.
