Lake Texoma Fishing Report :: Fishing in the Rain Sat 4/17

Posted on April 17, 2010

Fishing was Awesome in the rain this morning. We had our 60 fish limit by 8:00. Then we went drifting aound with big gizzards looking for a big fish for an hour with no luck so we went back to the dock to clean fish do some catfishing. We managed 3 nice blue cats before I was done cleaning.  Fish were caught on anchor in 30ft of water on the river ledge.

The fishing wasn't as hot as the morning but it wasn't anything to complain about. We caught our 50 fish limit in around 2 hours and played catch and release for a little while after that before they decided to come in as it was starting to rain agian. The rain had let up on us for most of the trip and it made for a nice evening. All in all it was not a bad day with 110 stripers cleaned on the 2 trips and and several more released. My fish this evening were caught on anchor on the river ledge in 26 ft. of water using shiners 3-4 cranks off the bottom.

My trip for the evening of the 24 which is next Saturday canceled so I now have a Saturday evening available if anyone is interested. Now is the time to come fishing!  You can fish for $100/person during the week until the end of April.
