Lake Texoma Fishing Report :: A Time for Thanks
Posted on November 20, 2013The season of gratitude has arrived and I would like to express my deepest thanks to All, the creation and creator for enabling this experience to exist, what a beautiful journey it is. For All I am grateful, for the fish who dance with me the ancient dance of life and death and allow me to share it with others. For my friends, my clients, who venture across the waters with me, connecting with the fish, supporting me to live my life and support my family doing something I love. For family, my wife Megan and my son Aidan who have opened my heart to love beyond what I had imagined to be possible. For so much more… For You, reading these words, I am grateful for you. Thank you for supporting me.
The last few trips, except for the day of the 20+ mph winds, have made for some great catching of good quality size fish in the 4-12 pound range. They seem to be holding on the same spots which makes it easier to dial them in and produce consistent results. They have been stacked up on underwater points, sometimes on top in 25 ft and sometimes just off them a bit in 50 ft. I’ve been using live bait on anchor over these fish mostly but have had success using sassys as well. Bigger baits are definitely what these fish are wanting, I won’t hesitate to put down a 10” gizzard and with these fish it won’t last long.
Things look like they are shaping up to be a great winter season to catch monster stripers. If your looking to catch big fish now is the time. I have Thanksgiving week open for anyone who wants to share this experience with their loved ones as well as gift certificates that can make for the perfect Christmas gift. I operate based on the gift economy meaning I have flex rates based on an average rate of $125/person for my service. We go fishing as friends and after the experience you are free to give in return what feels right to you or what you can afford, I will be grateful for whatever is given. With the gift certificates, you are free to go with the average rate or name your own, I’m happy to accommodate your budget. Give me a call anytime to book your trip or set up a gift certificate at (903)815-1609 or you can check availability and book online at my website www.stripersinc.com
