 I took today off so that I could take my mom, my sister and my little boy out fishing for Mother's Day.  My wife was out delivering a baby.  She is a midwife and was helping a new mother come into her time honored role of motherhood so she did not get to come with us but she did get to enjoy the blackened striper we cooked for Mother's Day dinner afterwards.  It took us a couple of anchors before we started up a good feeding frenzy but once we were on them it was game time.  We used shiners and they were eating the cut up dead ones just as fast as the live bait.  It was a great day on the water celebrating Mother's Day and making memories with my family!
