Lake Texoma Striper Fishing Blog

Fishing yesterday evening on Wednesday 4/20 seemed to be picking up. I had a group of 4 and birds worked off and on for most of the trip to point us in the right direction. We started out in deep water and caught several small fish so I made a move to anchor on a ledge in 35 ft. and we started catching better fish. Those fish left us and I moved around some and found some fish drifting 30 ft. of water. They called it a day at 6:30 and we went in with 28 fish all caught on live shad. I didn’t clean a single female that was carrying eggs. All the fish were either males, had already spawned, or were not yet fertile. It shouldn’t be but a few more days and we’ll have all of our fish back in the main lake and things will become more consistent.
